Let's discuss: Tools around the home to create texture in a painting

Updated: Oct 23, 2020

Working in mixed media is so exciting and rewarding.

You can use items found around your home to add texture to an artwork.

Personally, I've used:-

. bamboo skewers - to draw thin lines

. soap detergent - to create a reaction with the paint

. straws - to blow alchol inks around yupo paper

. glad wrap - to form shapes and grooves

. tooth brush - to splatter paint

. sponge - to create smudges and peaks

. cotton buds- to form dots

. salt - to form grainy circles

My favourite way to create texture is using glad wrap
